I regret to advise members that as of today our PJIRC facility has been suspended from use

The reality is that there is little prospect of PJIRC being reinstated

JAVA SECURITY WARNING

Currently a Java Security Warning is occurring on launch of the PJIRC window

Obviously I cannot expect members to continue initiation of the PJIRC facilty in the face of such "risks"

SUPPORT SITE THREAD ABANDONED

if that wasn't bad enough the support site thread has been locked and marked 'Abandoned'

there is a thread on this right here, please reply if you wish

PJIRC has been a faithful friend of ours from DAY ONE. We enjoyed this marvellous chat facility both in phpBB2 and the current phpBB3, however without up to date support we cannot continue operation

On top of that - how can members really expect to go against Java advice that the code may be a "security concern" ?

in the light of both of these serious issues, PJIRC has been suspended pending a resolving of these problems

ABOUT THE PJIRC AUTHOR

wizard james was last on the support thread in February of this year

however, since then many adminstrators have been struggling to obtain the pjirc code for their forums - without success

it is not known whether wizard james will get the thread unlocked (he is about the only person who can)

if he does, we could well see a return to PJIRC, here's hoping
